    Angharad Brackstone

    Angharad has been a Headteacher at St John’s Primary School for over 9 years and has been an Executive Headteacher of New Town Primary School and St John’s Primary School for over 2 years. Angharad is also a Trustee, CEO and Accounting Officer for BST.

    Having lived in the Newtown community many years ago and worked in the local area for nearly 10 years, Angharad has a clear understanding of the strengths and challenges that lie within each school as well as within the wider community.  Angharad brings clarity of vision and a wealth of experience of leadership and strategic planning and she ensures that staff and governors are kept well informed of key educational policy and change ensuring that timely information is presented to the Board of Trustees and the Local Governing Bodies.

    Angie Morrish

    • Appointed to New Town Primary School in February 2015 as a member of the Interim Executive Board (IEB) tasked with bringing the school out of special measures. Angie is an experienced school governor at both primary and secondary school level, and a consultant for the National Governors’ Association, helping schools in other counties improve their governance.

      Angie has 20 years’ experience in charity governance, fundraising and marketing, and is also a governor and trustee of Reading School, a director of investment research firm Intellisys Intelligent Analysis Limited and company secretary of facilities management company Premark Environmental Limited. Angie's strengths lie in leadership, strategic planning, financial management and communications.

    David Locke

    David Locke is a Trustee and Chair of the Finance Committee at BST. As a Chartered Accountant he has held finance director roles over the last 20 years in the charity and education sectors. Before this he worked with two of the “Top 4” accounting firms, KPMG and EY, leading a cybersecurity division.

    David has been a Trustee of BST since its inception. He is Head of Finance at the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institute (RABI) and Chair of the CAF Pensions Scheme. He lives in Didcot and attends Ridgeway Community Church. For seven years David was a governor and chair at Didcot Girls School and also has been a governor of a West Berkshire school. In his spare time David enjoys John Grisham novels and exploring the great outdoors.

    Sudeep Mathur

    Sudeep's past experience include working for multinational companies like IBM and Deloitte which have provided a breadth and depth of working across multiple cultures and countries. Sudeep has worked in many different countries including the UK, India, USA, Germany, UAE, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Oman and Kazakhstan serving on the board of several companies.

    Sudeep brings to the trust board the latest insights and ideas from his work experience in varied backgrounds and has experience of new business start ups and mergers as well as experience as a Finance Director.

    Sudeep has lived in Reading for over 7 years giving him a good understanding of the Reading community and has two children attending Reading Schools. Sudeep's interest in becoming a Trustee offers him the ideal opportunity to give back to the community and to become part of a larger group that is involved deeply with the development of the new generation of citizens of this country.

    CHris Meunier

    Chris studied physical sciences at Reading University and then worked as a design engineer, before moving into Further Education. He spent the largest part of his working life at Reading College as a science teacher and then as a senior manager with responsibilities for student services, management information, IT and curriculum development. He has had school governance roles before – many years ago for New Town Primary, and much more recently for Cranbury College, the pupil referral service for Reading, where for a couple of years he chaired the management committee. He was also, for several years, a trustee of the National Association of Child Contact Centres. More recently he has been involved in the planning, design and opening of several technical schools, including UTC Reading.

    He has a long commitment to the community and to working with young people in the Newtown area of Reading, going back to his student days, and he currently edits the local community magazine, NEWT

     Amitabh khanna

    Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Amitabh has gradually progressed in the area of Financial Management and Corporate administration over the last 40 plus years. During this time he has in addition become proficient in several critical aspects of overall corporate business administration including finance applied to manufacturing, budgeting, business and scenario planning, mergers and acquisitions to name a few. Amitabh has worked in a partnering role with all the CEOs and the Senior management teams in different companies in a fast-paced environment and have excelled in all functional areas including controlling, reporting, business analysis, commercial decision making, strategy formulation/execution, M&A, Treasury, International Tax as well as P/L management for different product areas in various companies that he has worked in. Amitabh has experience in restructuring, cost optimisation/reduction, business development (new business models) , transfer pricing and have successfully facilitated the sale of our business to a Global US listed IT services Company.
